Organic is a term used loosely to mean all sorts of things today.

The term 'organic' as it applies to agriculture, food and cosmetics refers to the condition of the soil in which the plants are grown.To be truly organic, the plants must be grown in soil which has no trace of chemicals for a certain period of time. From the time of 'certification' and forward, no chemical anything for pests, soil enrichment or weeds may be used. Using the "organic", chemical free method of growing keeps glyphosate and other harmful chemicals from leeching into the plants, the water and into our bodies. Organic coconut oil is known to have numerous natural qualities which are beneficial to skin. It is used in many products because it contains nourishing natural medium chain fatty acids and vitamin E which help to condition the skin and keep it hydrated and smooth. Coconut oil is effective on dry skin. It is especially helpful today in a time when people are hand washing frequently because it contains natural protective antimicrobial, anti-fungal and antibacterial properties.

This succulent plant contains one of the world's most beneficial substances - aloe juice. It contains powerful polyphenol antioxident compounds which can inhibit the growth of bacteria, thus providing a natural antibacterial quality. It contains vitamins, minerals and amino acids which nourish and protect the skin. It has long been used medicinally to soothe skin injuries and burns.

We derive many healthful substances from the olive particularly the antioxident vitamins A, D, E and K which may help against premature aging of the skin. Olive oil contains powerful polyphenol antioxidents which help to moisturize and condition the skin and are also helpful, along with the coconut oil, to provide antibacterial qualities.

The jojoba plant has become more recognized in recent years primarily as a skin conditioner. It is naturally gentle and non-irritating and protects the skin from losing moisture. This oil, too, contains antibacteria, antifungal, antiviral and analgesic properties, which when combined with our other oils, makes an outstanding soap to use for frequent hand washing.

Glycerine is a natural odorless substance derived from the coconut or other plants and is characterized by a syrupy texture and excellent humectant properties. Used medicinally, it is gentle, hypo-allergenic and helps to soothe and heal skin.

Rosemary is an organic and naturally grown herb used in our products as a natural, non chemical, non-synthetic anti-microbial preservative. It contains strong antioxident properties and is calming to the skin.

Essential oils are different from 'fragrances'. We use organic essential oils which are the purest type available, grown in soil without the use of chemical pesticides or herbicides. Many essential oils are advertised as pure or therapeutic, yet are grown in soil with glyphosate and other chemicals which effect the plants. The essential oils are generally steam distilled from the flowers, leaves, petals, seeds and stems of fruit, herbs and various plants to obtain the pure essential essences of each individual plant. Many of these oils offer therapeutic, anti-septic and anti-microbial benefits.  Some essential oils can evoke healthful benefits through their aromatherapeutic properties. 

 ( Do not confuse essential oils with the term "fragrance' or 'perfume' or 'parfum' which are synthetic, lab created chemical concoctions that can cause irritation, allergy flare-ups and sensitivities. )
